EMERGENCY Series
The EMERGENCY Series investigates the politics of migration, mobility and space around the globe highlighting hyperlocal situations. The Series includes public performances, performance for the camera, video, and photography that address cultural, social, economic, and climate issues as they impact individuals and communities’ survival. The body and its struggle is a central figure as it undergoes physical and mental challenges. As individuals are forced to move, each journey becomes a testament for resilience, perseverance, vulnerability and strength. It is a ritual of remembrance for all those that we have lost in this pursuit of finding better conditions. It is an empathic exercise to increase understanding and expand awareness about individual’s mobility.
